About Me

Hilde is a mexican football player, born on September 4th 1991 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He started playing at the age of eleven when he joined local team Carneros, a thirty year old organization playing national championships in a century-old tradition of american football. By the time Hilde reached high school he had five years of experience as a free safety under his belt and a chance to play in two national youth championships.

Given the good word that Carneros gave to high school UNIVA about Hilde, they made an exception and for the very first time let a freshman play for varsity football. Head coach at the time saw quarterback potential in Hilde and offered to train him at the position but let him keep his spot at the secondary as a free safety. Hilde shone on both positions during his time in UNIVA, helped build a strong team and took them to a regional championship where they played against their biggest rival UVM.

After finishing high school, Hilde decided to dream bigger and look for an opportunity in the US. He declined a football scholarship at the University of Monterrey and traveled to the University of Cincinnati to study english. During his time in Ohio he had the opportunity to train with NCAA football prospects and starter players. Towards the end of his time in Cincinnati Hilde had formed a full offensive and secondary training team.

Hilde returned to Mexico and kept training daily and even ran in state track and field competitions (100 meters). All of this created a buzz that led him to meet kicker Luis Zendejas from the Arizona Cardinals.

Zendejas asked Hilde to go to Phoenix, Arizona to have a personal try out. There he got a chance to receive feedback from retired player Ronaldo Cantú, coach Mo and Luis Zendejas himself. He made such a good impression on them that after the try out, they contacted Phoenix College to give him a chance to play with the team. Hilde met with the coaches the very next day and they immediately accepted to have him in their training camp. Unfortunately the NJCAA rules for foreign athletes changed and he wasn't able to play with the Phoenix College Bears. Even though that door closed for Hilde, he stayed in Arizona and joined the semi pro football team Phoenix Phantoms. While playing with the team he kept training with coach Mo and got to compete to NFL prospects. In 2015 Hilde assisted to four tryouts for four different CFL teams and one for the LFA (professional mexican football league) where he showed that he has what it takes to make it in a pro football league. On February 2016 Hilde was recruited by the LFA Condors from Mexico where he played his first season with the new league.

On January 17th, 2017 Hilde was invited to represent Mexico to the Globe Bowl held in Daytona Beach, hosted by East Preps. 3-day event attended by scouts from all over the country and different leagues such as the NFL, CFL and Arena Football Leagues.

Hilde is a fast physical player, a competitive man that likes to play smart and is looking to continue developing his potential.   passionate player unaffected by the pressure. Leader by nature with a strong work ethic.
